CAN YOU MAKE ME MY OWN LAYOUT?
No, I'm sorry, not enough time. I have a life too! But you can suggest ideas/requests that everyone else can use too!
HOW DO YOU MAKE LAYOUTS?
It is much too complicated to explain, especially over comments.
CAN I CHANGE THE LAYOUT A LITTLE?
of course you can! however, you may not claim the codes for your own even after you've changed it. If you can change codes, surely you can make your own?
MY COMMENT BUTTONS AREN'T WORKING, AGH! HELP?
You probably haven't changed the code, put your username where it says 'putusernamehere', + also your user id where it says 'user id here'
WHEN I SAVE MY LAYOUT, ITS ALL JUST CODES?
you have not put it in 'source', click the source button and put the code there !
WHERE IS THE USER ID??
it's on your profile, just delete your layout and it will tell you underneath 'quote stats'
I SWEAR I'VE SEEN A LAYOUT LIKE THAT BEFORE ON ANOTHER SITE?
yes, you probably have, I recreate some layouts from other sites that I like to witty format and have attempted to contact the original maker of the layout. I put credit on the post, and it used to be in the title but I realized the title doesn't show on this layout, but I would delete it straight away if they had any objections.

how to make the layouts work

hello, you have come here because you do not know how to change the layout, is that correct?
well, never fear, I am here to help. Okay, so first of all, get the code that you like and copy and paste the code into somewhere like word, or textedit, because they are MUCH easier to see the codes then edit profile on witty.
have you done that? okay good! now. just scroll through from the top of the code down, looking for places that say things like 'put title here', 'put username here', 'put status here', etc you get the picture. I have put those there so that all you have to do is find those 'put ---- here' things and replace it with your own things! For example, if it says 'put about me here', then write your about me in that space.
remember to also change the things that are a little harder to see on your links, such as 'your username here' + 'user id here'.
to get your user id, simply delete your layout, it will tell you your user id (it is a number) under quote stats.
after you have double checked that you have filled out everything that you need to where I have specified you to change ('put ---- here'), copy and paste that code into the source of your edit profile. Click save, and it should be working! If it hasn't, you have probably accidentally changed the code where you were not supposed to. remember to take out the '' as well when it says put --- here as well! If you are not sure of what you are doing, then do not change the code where I have not put any 'put ---- here' because I will not fix it for you, sorry.

Oh, and make sure to comment captivated saying that you have used the layout!

okay so apparently hypster is super lame and will only let me have 5 playlists at a time..

I'm sorry but I won't be able to make any PREMADE music players.

don't let this turn you off the music players though, because it is very fast for me to do, you will probably get it back in about a day (time zones sorry)

so here's how it's going to go.

IF YOU WANT A MUSIC PLAYER, YOU HAVE TO MAKE THE PLAYLIST AND GIVE THE CODE TO ME :)

here's how:

go to hypster.com, create an account, and a playlist.

done that? go back to 'my account'. To the right of your screen, there should be a cassete picture and something saying 'player skins'. Click it.

It will take you to another page. Select 'classic player'.

It will give you the option of shuffle mode being turned on, autoplay being turned on, which playlist you want to choose, and the colors. Make sure the playlist that you want to make into your music player is selected.

click on 'hypster original', and go down to 'customize'

make ALL OF THE COLORS except for the 'button color' white.

You can make the 'button color' whatever color you like, in my opinion black looks the best, though.

press 'update', and copy the 'embed code' (on the right)

go to http://sharetext.org/ (if it isn't working you can use http://freetexthost.com/ which is slightly different but still very simple to use)

paste the code into the box where it tells you to 'paste or type your text here', and click 'post text'

send me the URL (e.g. http://sharetext.org/BUDH) to that page, so that I have access to the code.

I will then make the music player for you, and give it to you.
Please note that the music player is white, and wont look as good on a white background. These players can also get in the way of layouts, if this is so please tell me so I can fix it properly.

I'm sorry but this is the only way that I can make all of your music players for you.

hey guys - there's something that really bothered me that I think you should all know about.

one of my favourite quote makers, keegster, is being constantly jocked by one person. This is not a one time thing, but a long term thing, getting over 10 times now. And when this person posts them, they get a lot more favourites than she does. I know this distresses/frustrates her a lot, as she works hard on these quotes and feels she is getting pushed off the site because of this incident. That's not what witty is about, and this is just not right. They are very obviously jocked, because the time she posts them is AFTER keegster does. I do not have anything against this girl, and I am not asking you to give her hate whatsoever. Simply report the jocked quotes, do not give the poor girl hate, that's not what witty is about either. here is a list of some of the jocked quotes:

how to use:

1) fill out your about me.

2) find the youtube video you want

3) click, 'share' underneath the video

4) click 'embed'

5) scroll down to 'custom size', change the HEIGHT to 240. it will automatically change the width to the right size.

6) copy the code in the layout, and paste it where it says 'youtube video here'

if that doesnt work:

1) fill out your about me

2) find the youtube video you want

3) click 'share' underneath the video

4) click 'embed'

5) copy and paste the code into a text editor

6) change the HEIGHTS to 240, and the WIDTHS to 472.

7) copy and paste that code into the layout where it says 'youtube video here'

how to make it autoplay:

1) find the 'embed source' in the youtube code

(e.g. embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DFBzZfxkWUg?version=3&hl=en_US")

2) on the end of the link, paste &autoplay=1

(e.g. embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DFBzZfxkWUg?version=3&hl=en_US&autoplay=1 ")
